Community Consulting services
Cultivating Connections is proud to offer contract services to non-profit and grassroots community-based organizations here in the Capital District of New York. We offer both client-facing and internal/staff-facing programming on topics related to mental health, systemic and interpersonal trauma, training, and advocacy.
“Your Relationship to Institutions/Systems” Workshops: Standalone workshops that outline the purpose and purview of institutions or systems that may be involved in your (or a loved one’s) mental health, such as public health laws, policing, or family surveillance, and strategies for navigating them as a patient. Examples of these workshops include A Caregiver’s Guide to Mandated Reporter Laws, A Patient’s Guide to Privacy Laws, and Bystander Intervention Strategies. These workshops are informational in nature and do not constitute legal advice on client-specific cases.
Psycho-Educational Workshops: Standalone or short term recurring workshops that are both educational and skill building in nature. Examples include Relational Trauma across the Life Course, Affirming Parenting for LGBTQIA+ Youth, and Holistic Self-Care for Social Service Professionals.
Support Groups: Recurring therapeutic support groups for clients facing acute crises or challenges. Examples include Family Surveillance Parent Support Group, and Trauma-Informed Parenting Support Group.
